Taiwan Business Association delegation visits Beijing E-Town
A delegation from the Taiwan Business Association for Mainland China Economic and Trade Exchange, led by Chairman Xu Shubo, visited and exchanged ideas with Beijing E-Town on Mar 24.
This was the first visit by a major Taiwanese business and industrial group to the mainland after the COVID-19 prevention and control period.
Zheng Haitao, deputy director of the administrative committee of Beijing E-Town, attended the discussion and provided a comprehensive introduction to the high-quality development of the area, including its development process, industrial characteristics, reform and innovation, and business environment, hoping for more practical cooperation in various fields between the two places in the future.
Xu Shubo remarked that Beijing E-Town has multiple advantages such as a well-developed transportation network, a solid industrial development foundation, and a livable environment. He hopes to guide member companies to start businesses and grow in the area and promote cooperation and expand the market together.
The Taiwan Business Association is the highest level unit of Taiwanese business groups, with member companies covering all business service industries in Taiwan. It has 150 directly affiliated group members, 2400 indirectly affiliated group members, and over 1.5 million enterprise members drawn from various sectors, including retail and wholesale, transportation and communication, tourism, finance and insurance, logistics and warehousing, catering, agriculture and fisheries, as well as design and creativity, environmental protection and energy, technology application, and information e-commerce.
The main purpose of this visit was to strengthen cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and promote cooperation in energy, culture, tourism, finance, and other fields.
On the same day, the delegation also visited Center International Group in Beijing E-Town.
