Beijing E-Town recently set up a special fund for scientific and technological innovation, providing 400 million yuan ($58.96 million) per year. 

Through direct investment or competitions, the fund will be used to support sci-tech industries that conform to the positioning of Beijing E-Town and related industrial policies, on the premise that the investment amount of a single project in the form of direct investment shall not exceed 20 million yuan in principle, and "one case, one discussion" may be adopted for major projects.

Up to now, among direct investment projects, a total of 76 science and technology projects in Beijing E-Town have passed decision-making, of which 62 have completed investment, and the paid-in capital of 45 science and technology projects under management has reached 558 million yuan.

There are a total of 16 talent projects, of which 10 have completed the capital contribution, and the six talent projects in stock are under management with a paid-in capital of 30 million yuan.
