The launching ceremony of the 12th Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents and its first global presentation hosted by the Beijing Overseas Talents Center were held online on Dec 22. 

The event attracted online participation from more than 13,000 overseas talents from over 10 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Russia.

Up to now, the total number of talents in Beijing E-Town is 326,300, 70.67 percent of whom are undergraduates or above, and the talent contribution rate has reached 63.35 percent, which is 7.35 percentage points higher than the city's average level, according to sources.

Beijing E-Town has also formulated a talent-rewarding policy system, continuously setting up special rewards for them and establishing special project support funds to stimulate their innovation and entrepreneurial vitality.

At the promotion meeting, more than 2,000 talent work positions from 126 employers in Beijing, including universities, hospitals, scientific research institutions and enterprises, were released. 

The positions mainly cover the core areas of innovation and development in such areas as electronic information, biomedicine, energy conservation and new energy, and new materials, as well as in professional fields such as culture and art, the humanities and social sciences.
