The Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance of Tsinghua University (CIDEG) and Nature Research recently released the Global Innovation Hubs Index (GIHI).

Among global international science and technology innovation centers, Beijing ranks third in the world, and has achieved a significant improvement in its innovation ecological indicators. 

As the "one area" of the "three science cities and one hi-tech area”, Beijing E-Town cultivates innovative enterprises, accelerates the transformation and implementation of achievements, and helps in the creation of Beijing's innovation ecology.

As of now, Beijing E-Town has gathered more than 3,500 biopharmaceutical companies, including not only leading companies such as AstraZeneca, GE Healthcare, and Youcare Pharmaceutical Group, but has also cultivated nearly 20 potential leading companies that have been listed, covering biomedicine, medical equipment and the health industry.

Beijing E-Town is building a high-tech industrial cluster of global influence. The data shows that cutting-edge industries, represented by the four main industries of new generation information technology, new energy vehicles and intelligent networked vehicles, biomedicine and big health, robotics and intelligent manufacturing, contribute over 90 percent to the total industrial output value of Beijing E-Town.

In addition, Beijing E-Town has incubated 85 national specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises, 562 Beijing specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises, and 119 Beijing innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.

The rapid development of QCraft has become a microcosm of the major scientific and technological projects undertaken by Beijing E-Town from the "three science cities". 

To enable settled enterprises to develop more efficiently, Beijing E-Town has introduced service institutions, such as finance and achievement incubation and transformation. 

Among them, the Global Healthcare Innovation Center (GHIC) in Beijing E-Town is another platform to promote the transformation of the achievements of the "three sicence cities", which can provide full life cycle management services for medical device industry incubation. It has helped many enterprises, such as Beijing AMIT Medical Science and technology and Beijing Polyseg Biotech, settle in Beijing E-Town.

From January to November last year, Beijing E-Town undertook a total of 152 scientific and technological achievements transformation projects from the "science three cities", providing a steady stream of impetus for the high-quality development of Beijing.
