Enterprises in key industries in Beijing resume work

The Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government announced Beijing's efforts to promote the resumption of work and production on Dec 18, according to the Beijing COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Leading Group. 

The office said factories, construction sites and commercial buildings have fully resumed work. Forty-two municipal State-owned enterprises took the lead in resuming work. 

Data shows that on Dec 17, Beijing's secondary and tertiary industry enterprises' electricity consumption increased by 15.2 percent and 19 percent respectively compared with mid-November.

All districts and departments quickly implemented the new policy.

Cancel

Restrictions on attendance and cross-district movement are lifted;

Cancel the "three inspections in three days" requirement for employees arriving in Beijing;

Cancel nucleic acid negative certificate inspections for resumption of work and production sites other than those required specifically;

Cancel the regular nucleic acid testing requirements for imported non-cold chain goods, bulk construction, housing agencies, accommodation services, libraries, cultural centers, art galleries, graded tourist attractions, and production workshops.

Open

Bars, KTV, internet cafes, fitness and other places located in underground confined spaces resume operations;

Restore dine-in;

Resume the holding of conferences, trainings and banquets (wedding banquets) in hotels;

Resume travel agencies and online travel companies operating group tours in Beijing, cross-provincial group tours in and out of Beijing, and "air ticket + hotel" business.

Optimize

Enterprises are required to optimize emergency plans, production and operation links, classified management of personnel, and actively strengthen their own epidemic prevention capabilities.

Assure

All districts and departments take the initiative to help enterprises provide guidance on services such as epidemic-related disposal, closed-loop production management, industrial chain supply chain guarantee, and vaccination to ensure the orderly operation of enterprises.
