Online promotion conference presents Beijing E-Town business card
At the 5th China International Import Expo, Beijing E-Town organized an online promotion meeting to present its business card to the world.
Shen Yonggang, deputy director of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) Administrative Committee, and Mao Shanhong, development director of the BDA delivered speeches in English and Chinese.
Beijing E-Town boasts the country's first and the world's largest P3 production line of COVID-19 inactivated vaccines, to the country's largest 12-inch chip production line and Beijing's only pharmaceutical company with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan ($1.38 bllion).
Foreign-funded companies have also set up overseas R&D headquarters in Beijing E-Town.
In terms of industrial development, "the world's largest", "the world's first", "the country's largest" and "the country's first" were all born in Beijing E-Town.
Up to now, Beijing E-Town has formed four 100-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters of high-end automobiles, the industrial Internet, biomedicine and big health, and new-generation information technology.
As the "one hi-tech area" in the "three science cities and one hi-tech area", Beijing E-Town, as the main platform of Beijing's construction of an international science and technology innovation center, has built the world's first tide experimental road of intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), the world's largest recombinant protein library, the only IPv6 root server engineering center in China, and a national new energy vehicle innovation center.
A series of national-leading reform measures have also been implemented in Beijing E-Town: the first pilot project separating permits from business licenses was launched here, and multiple certifications and licenses were integrated into one consolidated business license, and the full life cycle of industrial land was managed.
The excellent industrial ecology of Beijing E-Town has attracted more than 270,000 talents. The zone has also introduced a series of policies to benefit talents, and set up a special annual fund of 1 billion yuan to support talents.
The "Two Zones" policy and reforms have also become another attractive feature of Beijing E-Town. Foreign-funded enterprises, such as SMC, Schneider, and AstraZeneca, have also established their headquarters here.
