The 2022 OpenAtom Global Open Source Summit of the Global Digital Economy Conference 2022 kicked off in Beijing E-Town on July 28.

This year's summit is themed on "Software Defining World, Open Source Building the Future".

At the opening ceremony, Zheng Haitao, deputy director of the Beijing E-Town Administrative Committee, signed a framework agreement on entering Beijing E-Town with the OpenAtom Foundation on behalf of the administrative committee.

After settling in the area, the foundation will work with Beijing E-Town to accelerate the building of an international open source community, promote technological breakthroughs in the digital field, and accelerate the application of open source technologies. 

The two sides will also spare no efforts to promote Chinese enterprises' participation in global open source governance, incubate and operate excellent open source projects, and attract global developers to participate in joint construction. 

The National Open Source Competition was also launched at the summit.

Beijing is one of the cities with the most abundant open source resources and the most active open source innovation in the world. 

The OpenAtom Foundation in China was established in June 2020 to contribute Chinese wisdom to global open source power and boost open source innovation and development.
