BDA firm makes Fortune World's Most-Admired Companies
Fortune magazine recently announced its World's Most Admired Companies list for 2022. Schneider Electric, a company in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, ranked third, marking the fifth consecutive year that Schneider Electric has been on the list.
The annual ranking is based on a series of surveys conducted by Fortune of the world's top 500 companies, which represent the highest revenue levels in their respective industries.
During the selection process, 3,820 executives, directors and analysts from 52 industries evaluated the companies based on nine key indicators, including investment value, management level and product quality, social responsibility, and talent attraction ability.
The final selection included 52 companies.
"Making the top three on the list this time is a tribute to the achievements of Schneider Electric's long-term practice of sustainable development, and it is also high praise for our innovative practice," a representative of Schneider Electric said.
Schneider Electric won the highest score in the "innovation" and "quality" indicators of its products and services.
From green gas medium-voltage equipment that uses dry air to replace traditional sulfur hexafluoride to carbon-neutral digital solutions, Schneider Electric has been promoting more efficient and sustainable development.
At the beginning of 2021, Schneider Electric updated its Sustainability Impact Index (SSI) plan, promoting the implementation of the strategy with a number of measures and further fulfilling its commitment to sustainable development.
To effectively promote carbon reduction in the supply chain, Schneider Electric launched a zero carbon plan for suppliers in 2021, helping the world's top 1,000 core suppliers to reduce carbon emissions in operations by 50 percent by 2025.
Schneider Electric is both a provider of carbon neutral consulting services and a practitioner of sustainable development.
The company has been selected as one of the Top 100 Global Sustainability Companies by Corporate Knights for 11 consecutive years, and has won a number of global authoritative ESG rating recognitions, including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Dow Jones Co., Ltd. and Sustainable Development World Index.
