A Chinese and foreign media delegation visited the first renewable energy "carbon neutral" smart park (Goldwind Technology) in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) on Feb 9.      

Goldwind is a leading enterprise in the wind power industry. It focuses on the fields of wind power, energy internet and environmental protection. 

With strong scientific research innovation and the best business practices, the efficiency of renewable energy has been raised to a new height in the park. The park integrates renewable energy, smart micro-grids, smart water utilities, green agriculture, sports, health and other functions into one green park ecosystem.

After traveling through the city, reporters arrived at the Goldwind Science and Technology Smart Park. 

There is a green farm hidden among several tall buildings in the park - the Jinguoshu Photovoltaic Smart Greenhouse. Entering the greenhouse, the greenery inside is in sharp contrast with the high-rise buildings outside.

Tomatoes, bananas, passion fruit, eggplants, and peppers are among the varieties of produce that are grown here. 

The greenhouse has constant temperature and humidity and can achieve year-round production. Its output of vegetables and fruit has increased significantly compared with traditional planting, but 80 percent of its actual energy consumption can be self-sufficient, according to Goldwind Technology.

Beijing's three major competition areas and 26 venues have historically achieved a 100-percent green power supply. Among them, the BDA enterprise Goldwind Technology has contributed to carbon neutrality solutions.
