The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Jan 18.

The signing of the agreement implies that the two parties will make every effort to build an innovative industrial cluster in the field of healthcare in the BDA, improve the area's innovative ecological environment, and promote the construction of the traditional Chinese medicine and healthcare industry in the BDA.

Participants listened to a report on comprehensive strategic cooperation between the BDA and BUCM before the signing ceremony, as well as conducted in-depth exchanges on the rapid development of the healthcare industry.

Under the agreement, the BDA and BUCM will carry out in-depth cooperation in seven fields, including inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, industrialization of in-hospital preparations, medical and healthcare cooperation, talents and academics, and international cooperation.
