BDA rolls out health care plan
At the meeting of the "Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA)'s Health Care Development Plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) Period" , a health plan was released.
According to the plan, in the next five years, the BDA will build a new integrated and continuous health service system that matches the health needs of residents.
The plan has a comprehensive coverage, from tertiary hospitals to primary care, from the elderly, the disabled to expectant mothers and babies, from material reserves to epidemic prevention and control, and includes everything from marriage, childbirth, admission to school, and employment.
At the press conference, the BDA also selected the site for the construction of the new hospital building for the Beijing Children's Hospital, with a size of 290,000 square meters and a planned capacity of 1,200 beds.
By 2025, the level and service capacity of grassroots health institutions in the BDA will be greatly improved.
Three community health service centers will be built, and service stations will be deployed to achieve a 15-minute community health service coverage rate of 100 percent.
The BDA will also strive to achieve a health insurance coverage rate of more than 95 percent residents by 2025, and the number of nurseries for infants and children under 3 years old per 1,000 people will reach 4.5.
It is estimated that by 2025, the BDA will complete a balanced layout of 17 first-aid work stations, with the smallest first-aid radius in Beijing and an average response time of less than 12 minutes for pre-hospital first-aid services.
