Beijing E-Town's Urbanization Report shows that during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period, the level of public service facilities in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) improved. 

In the past five years, the education system of the BDA has been fully expanded, the medical system has been optimized, and cultural and sports facilities have steadily advanced.

In the past five years, the BDA has continued to introduce high-level education and medical resources, add more than 5,000 basic education degrees, and initially form an education service system covering all preschool, elementary, middle, high, and vocational education.

Meanwhile, the BDA continues to introduce high-level medical resources. For example, the opening of the second phase of the Beijing Tongren Hospital E-Town Branch has improved the overall level of medical services in the BDA.

The establishment of a sub-center of the Beijing Emergency Center also improved the pre-hospital emergency system in the BDA. Community health service centers and the basic public health system have also been consolidated.

In terms of sports facilities, the BDA has completed 50 or 60 national fitness path renewal projects and the construction of 10 fitness squares.

In the past five years, the BDA has gradually established an urban design control system that runs through the entire process of urban planning, construction and management.
