As one of the four leading industries in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA), the biotechnology and health sector has gathered more than 1,700 biomedical companies, forming a complete industrial chain covering biomedicine, medical equipment, health industry and other fields.

With their output value increasing 2.1 times year-on-year in the first three quarter, companies in the biotechnology and health industry sectors in the BDA have stepped up their innovation in the fourth quarter.

Complete financing of 100 million yuan ($15.7 million) and accelerate the construction of "Pathogenic Microorganism Skynet Laboratory"

Recently, the BDA enterprise WYYX (corporate code name) announced that it has completed its A+ round of financing of 100 million yuan. 

After this round of financing, the company will speed up the construction of China's "Pathogenic Microbiology Skynet Laboratory" and the registration process for medical device products. 

Meanwhile, they will further promote the development of new products for accurate diagnosis of infection.

Injectable preparations are approved and innovative tumor immunotherapy drugs are launched

The BDA enterprise SLDYY (corporate code name), Corning Jereh Biopharmaceuticals, Simcere Pharmaceuticals jointly announced that three-party strategic cooperation for the PD-L1 single domain antibody Envida® was officially approved for marketing by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

The Envolimab injection liquid has become the world’s first and only drug for subcutaneous injection of the PD-L1 antibody approved for marketing.

Rapid detection chip system wins first prize in the Ministry of Public Security's Science and Technology Awards
