Recently, after a comprehensive and meticulous examination, the first urbanization report of Beijing E-Town was released.

According to the report, during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) has continued to implement functions of a technological innovation center, sustained high-quality industrial development, and accelerated the construction of a city suitable for industrial development and living. 

In the core monitoring index table for the past five years, most of the indicators are in line with the target direction and have progressed rapidly.

In terms of the real economy and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, many indicators have reached short-term goals ahead of schedule.

In the next step, the BDA will focus on key tasks in functional positioning, industrial development, facility guarantees and support systems in order to improve the modernization of Beijing E-Town's governance system and governance capabilities and promote the construction of an upgraded version of the BDA and a green Beijing E-Town.
