According to the Biodiversity Survey team in Beijing E-Town, an investigation of famous trees and ancient trees has achieved initial results. One famous tree and eight ancient trees were investigated within the scope of Beijing E-Town, of which one ancient locust tree was found to be 511 years old.

In May 2021, a one-year biodiversity background survey in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) was launched. 

The survey team is composed of members from the Beijing Biodiversity Conservation and Research Center organized professionals, they are conducting a biodiversity background survey within 225 square kilometers of Beijing E-Town. 

Beijing E-Town has continuously increased the protection of biodiversity in recent years, so the ecosystem there has been improved significantly.
