The BDA and CSCEC held a signing ceremony to mark their deepened cooperative efforts in March.
At the ceremony, the BDA signed 23 cooperation agreements with the China State Construction Science & Technology Group Co., Ltd. and other high-tech enterprises that are subordinate to the CSCEC. Fifteen technology-based companies signed contracts to settle in the BDA.
Meanwhile, the headquarters of the CSCEC in Beijing E-Town was also established.
The Jiahui community is located in the eastern part of Beijing E-Town with an overall area of around 10 square kilometers and a total construction area of about 3.8 million square meters.
Construction of the community is expected to be completed during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period.
After completion, a 2-square-kilometer international park will be built with Jiahui Lake as its center. A leisure sports center and a cultural and artistic center, as well as a commercial and leisure island in the center of the lake, will be set up.
A smart community for international talents will also be built in the area.
Thirteen CSCEC enterprises have moved into and registered in the BDA so far.
In 2020, the CSCEC invested 8.2 billion yuan ($1.27 billion) in the BDA. By the end of July this year, the CESEC had 30 construction projects in the zone with a construction area of 3.38 million square meters and a contract value of approximately 17.74 billion yuan.
