Recently, the Free Trade Zone branch of China Merchants Bank was inaugurated in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) and became the sixth bank specifically serving free trade businesses in the BDA.

Since the establishment of the high-end industrial zone in the Pilot Free Trade Zone, a number of free trade financial institutions have landed in the BDA.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, China Merchants Bank and other free trade branches were approved to be established to match the corresponding financial resources for the construction of the free trade zone.
