The Display Industry Awards list of SID (Society for Information Display) China was recently released.

The award-winning technology products of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) accounted for more than 40 percent of the list.

Every year, SID China will review products listed in the previous year and award the best display product, the best display component product, the best display application product and the best in other categories.

The BDA once again demonstrated its strength as a development highland of the new generation information technology industry, and companies such as BOE and Chipone North have won gold awards.

A review expert group composed of members of the Technical Committee of the SID Beijing Branch conducted a strict review of all nominated products and prototypes under a fair scoring system.

The above results combined with the online voting from ICDT (the International Conference on Display Technology) guests, and review by the Awards Committee, will product the final list of six award winners of the SID China Display Industry Awards.

Fifty display technology products were on the list of winners, among which nearly 20 are from the BDA, accounting for more than 40 percent of the total.

BOE's 8 inch AMOLED won the Gold Award for the Best Display Product of the Year. Its OLED roll-to-roll screen is an innovative application of flexible OLED display technology. The flexible sliding screen displayed by BOE this year allows the product to be freely converted between mobile phones and tablets and achieves a non-crease screen display effect.

Chipone Technology's integrated display driver and touch chip (TDDI chip) ICNL9911C won the gold medal among display module component products.

This chip implements a 90Hz high frame rate and refresh rate solution based on the a-Si HD TDDI solution for smart mobile devices, bringing a smoother application experience. It increases the screen sampling rate from 120Hz to 180Hz to achieve a more sensitive touch experience.
