The 2021 "Online Influencers Experience Beijing" event was recently held in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA), hosted by the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government and undertaken by China Radio International of China Media Group.

The participating online celebrities came from Brazil, France, Greece, Guatemala and South Korea, among other areas. They witnessed the scientific and technological innovation, economic construction and urban development of the BDA, and appreciated some of the district's new achievements.

"If I hadn't come to the BDA and saw the fast logistics system, I wouldn't have believed that dining, shopping and entertainment are all available on a smartphone without leaving your home. Such a convenient life," said Max from Mexico.

On June 9, 16 foreign online influencers visited the "Asia One" logistics base in JD Industrial Park – the third stop of this event.

Large trailers were busy picking up goods at each warehouse, and workers were busy packing, sorting and moving items in the warehouse.

With the help of "black technologies" such as warehouse robots and automatic sorting robots, the facility's express logistics sorting capacity has been greatly improved and the warehouse is well-organized.

Along the way, the most photographed object by Max was the intelligent transmission and sorting device.

In front of the small sorter, each infeed area was equipped with a manual high-speed infeed table connected to a circulation line.

There was a staff member in front of each infeed table, who was responsible for placing small items into the transmission line.

Rejected parts traveled down the chute into the middle of the sorter. The small items entering the transmission line were automatically photographed by the scanner to identify their destination, and then transmitted to the corresponding sorting chute.

Staff members told Max that the high-speed automated sorting system has realized the automation of task allocation at each production station, ensuring the full-load operation of each production position, avoiding uneven task distribution and greatly improving labor efficiency.

The system is suitable for sorting small and medium-sized parcels, and it can complete automatic package delivery to minimize personnel input and improve sorting efficiency.

"I came to Beijing this time to focus on technology, especially the BDA, the main platform of the International Innovation Center. Many technology companies here surprised me, I never expected that technology could change lives in this way," Max noted.
