Large-scale engineering projects represent an important starting point for expanding effective investment, and accelerating the construction of major engineering projects is of great significance in promoting the high-quality development of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA).

Recently, the BDA formulated a task list of 100 key engineering projects for the first time, promoted the continued construction of projects step by step, accelerated the research of new projects, and promoted a succession of engineering tasks.

Take the 12-year consistent school project on the X39 plot for instance. Buildings of the school's primary section, administrative division, library, middle school section, and international department has been completed, together with the interior decoration and the greening work.

The project covers an area of about 82,757 square meters, with a total construction area of 119,839 square meters. 

After completion, it will meet the school needs of children in Hexi district. Meanwhile, the project of the BDA Experimental School of the High School Affiliated to Renmin University in Hexi district will also welcome new students after completing all preparations by this September.

The smooth progress of these two key projects is the best embodiment of advancements in the BDA. This year, the BDA formulated a task list of 100 key engineering projects for the first time, including continued projects and new ones.

Over the years, Beijing has taken the expansion of private investment as an important measure for stable and effective investment, building a superior economic structure, and stimulating the vitality of market entities. 

This February, the city announced 300 key projects for 2021. The total investment of the projects exceeds 1.3 trillion yuan, and 15 are related to the BDA.
