On April 7, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology solicited opinions from the general public on the "Implementation Plan on the Industrial Development of Hydrogen Energy in Beijing (2021-2025)".

In the industrial layout of hydrogen energy, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) undertakes the task of building a full industrial chain ecosystem of hydrogen energy and creating a demonstration zone for high-end hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing and application.

The BDA is included in the South Beijing Hydrogen High-end Equipment Manufacturing and Application Demonstration Zone, which will carry out full-scenario application demonstrations of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, vehicle-mounted liquid hydrogen supply systems, and hydrogen-powered drones.

The zone will also strive to complete the construction of 37 hydrogen refueling stations to achieve the goal of cumulative sale of more than 10,000 battery vehicles.

Actually, the BDA has already deployed the fuel cell vehicle industry in advance. 

The high-end automobile and new energy smart car industry is one of the four leading industries in the BDA. It’s also the first in the area with an output value exceeding 200 billion.

The BDA had earlier compiled a high-end automobile and new energy smart car industry map, and introduced related firms like United Fuel Cell System Research and Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd.

And just one week ago SinoHytec and Toyota signed a contract to establish a joint venture, Huafeng Fuel Cell Co., Ltd, in China to promote the commercial vehicle fuel cell system business and produce and sell fuel cell systems.
