BDA’s total industrial output value increases by 69.4 percent

Updated: 2021-04-14

The Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) has released its economic data for January and February.

The total industrial output value of Beijing E-Town reached 88.44 billion yuan ($13.53 billion). Of this total, the industrial output value of the core area above designated size was 81.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69.4 percent.

The rapid development of the biotechnology and health industry reflects the development of industrial enterprises in BDA.

The data shows that from January to February, the year-on-year growth rate of the biotechnology and health industry, one of the four leading industries, reached 155.3 percent.

The other three leading industries, namely, new-generation information technology, robotics and intelligent manufacturing, high-end automobiles and new energy intelligent vehicles, had year-on-year growth rates of 30.5 percent, 51.5 percent and 77.1 percent respectively.

This should be attributed to the great efforts made by the BDA. For each key project, they have implemented a three-level "monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly" scheduling mechanism  to ensure that key projects progress well in both quality and quantity.

Scientific scheduling has further facilitated high-tech vitality. From January to February this year, the total industrial output value of high-tech industries increased by 72.4 percent year-on-year. As of mid-March, all 192 projects under construction had resumed work.

The corporate "butler" service is a manifestation of the monitoring and analysis responsibility system. BDA has provided enterprises with "one policy for one firm" assistance.

In addition, monthly return visits are formed through an "online + offline" mechanism. Corporate appeals are collected and solutions are provided. In the month of March, the number of return visits from various departments reached 516, meeting a number of the company's actual needs.
