Vaccinations for foreigners start

Updated: 2021-04-09

The Technological Area (BDA) started appointment-based COVID-19 vaccinations for foreigners aged 18 years old and above on April 3.

The first foreigners were successfully vaccinated with the first dose of China-made whole inactivated virus vaccines at Beijing Aiyuhua Women and Children's Hospital on the basis that they are informed, voluntary and willing to be inoculated at their own cost and to bear any corresponding risks.

After their health codes were checked and body temperatures taken, the foreigners lined up to register for vaccination.

To solve communication problems at the vaccination site, four volunteers proficient in English, Japanese, Korean and German were on hand, responsible for the translation work of registration, charging, vaccination, observation and other links.

When making an appointment for registration, you need to provide a valid certificate information, and present your passport and valid residence permit for vaccination at the vaccination site to ensure that the relevant certificates will still be valid as of the second dose of vaccination.

Foreigners who have participated in Beijing's social security and medical insurance can be vaccinated for free after presenting the city's medical insurance enrollment certificate on the spot.
