Lingshan village in Huangshan's Huizhou district, an ancient village dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907), is experiencing a renaissance through cultural tourism development.
The village, renowned for its 1.5-kilometer "water street", Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) terraced fields, and 13 ancient springs, has become a popular destination since its reopening in May 2024.

The area welcomed more than 300,000 visitors from May to September last year and saw a 20 percent increase in spring 2025 compared to the previous year.
Luo Jianzhong, the manager of the village's development company, highlighted the village's transformation through the restoration of 25 ancient buildings and the revitalization of terraced fields and bamboo forests. These efforts have integrated ancient village preservation with modern tourism consumption.
Visitors can experience bamboo weaving at workshops or explore traditional wine brewing techniques at local wineries.
As dusk falls, the village's water street becomes a magical scene with the "Lantern Night Tour". This immersive experience has boosted nighttime visitor numbers by 65 percent, with average stay times extending to 2.8 hours.

On the terraced fields of Lingshan in spring, a rural light and shadow show called The Earth is being staged.
The Earth combines ancient legends with high-tech light and shadow technology. Through the grandeur of the symphony, the passion of rock and roll, and the delicacy of traditional Chinese music, it weaves an ancient, mysterious, and vibrant picture of the land of Lingshan, bringing visitors a surreal immersion experience.

Plans include more innovative cultural tourism products like immersive performances and night tours, aiming to establish Lingshan as an internationally renowned wedding destination.
