The 2024 Huangshan Marathon, certified by the Chinese Athletics Association, is set to kick off on Oct 27. This A-class event will feature three race categories: the full marathon (42.2 kilometers), the half marathon (21.1 kilometers), and a 5-kilometer health run. With a total 15,000 spots available, 5,000 for the marathon, 8,000 for the half marathon, and 2,000 for the health run-entries will be allocated by a lottery system. Registration is open until Aug 27.
The marathon meets world-class standards while promoting sustainability. It also seeks to boost international participation by inviting foreign runners and national running groups. The event will offer a unique "mountain-water-village-night" experience. The marathon route will showcase Huangshan's scenic beauty, from Huangshan Mountain to Taiping Lake.

The night before the race will feature a vibrant cultural festival with music, food, and local crafts.
