Huangshan broadens ways to woo visitors

As a tourist city with dozens of national scenic spots, Huangshan in Anhui province is letting go of depending on ticket revenue and will offer free tickets to all A-level scenic spots in the city, including the UNESCO-listed Huangshan Mountain, Xidi ancient village and Hongcun ancient village, on April 5, 12, 19 and 26, which is every Wednesday in April.

On top of that, Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area, Xidi ancient village and Hongcun ancient village are issuing 10,000 tickets (5,000 for Huangshan Mountain Scenic Area, 2,500 for Xidi ancient village and 2,500 for ancient vaillage) every day for the 17 working days in April, amounting to a combined total of 170,000 free tickets.

To date, there are 61 A-class tourist attractions in Huangshan city, as well as 22 permanent admission-free scenic spots. A total of 10 new free scenic spots have been added to the list to promote the permanent admission-free policy from April 1.

Tips: Tourists need to book their dates in advance on the scenic spots' official platforms.
