The 17th China Huangshan (Yixian County) Rural Photography Exhibition kicked off on Nov 19 in Yixian county – administered by Huangshan city in Anhui province – and will run through to Nov 30.
According to the organizers, the exhibition features various themes and thousands of outstanding works are on display.
Experience programs with idyllic sceneries and intangible cultural heritage exhibits are also on show, such as bamboo rafts and Hongcun lantern performances.
During the opening ceremony, Yixian county officials handed out awards for excellent works and recognized pieces chosen for the Creative Huangshan Photography Exhibition.
At the same time, Yixian county and the Beijing Institute of Fashion, Nanjing Media College, Anhui Normal University, Anhui College of Arts and the Shandong College of Arts signed agreements to serve as a sketching base for more photography and painting enthusiasts.
With its focus on the countryside, the exhibition has been held for 17 years and Yixian county has become a photography hub with its ample and attractive tourism resources.
