One unicorn, 14 unicorns-to-be, and 57 gazelle companies from Suzhou New District were included in the latest incubation list released by the Jiangsu Province Productivity Center on Nov 25.
YTX.com, an innovative company focusing on enterprise training, is the only unicorn from Suzhou on the list. Founded in 2011, YTX.com has seen its digital enterprise learning solutions being used by a number of Global 500 enterprises such as China Merchants Bank, China FAW Group Corp, and COFCO Group, as well as thousands of industrial leading companies like online car hailing service provider Didi and home appliances giant Haier.
The unicorn currently has more than 1,000 employees, including high-end talent from fields such as internet, enterprise service, and talent training and development. The company has its headquarters in Beijing and Suzhou, a research and development center in Suzhou, and branches in major cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xiamen, Chongqing, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Tianjin, and Shenyang.
As of March 2021, the company had completed two rounds of financing totaling $190 million.
SND has to date incubated one unicorn company, 29 unicorns-to-be, as well as 283 gazelle companies.
The district rolled out a three-year plan (2021-23) for cultivating innovative enterprises earlier this year. According to the plan, the district will incubate more than 19 unicorns-to-be and over 60 gazelles by the end of 2023.
