HL Mando, a South Korea-based electric vehicle and autonomous driving solution supplier, opened a software center – SW Campus China – in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 14.

The center is specialized in the development of software related to automobile steering and brake products to give a global boost to the software development capability of its parent company, Halla Group.

About two months ago, another Halla Group subsidiary, HL Klemove, broke ground for its second factory in SND.

Cho Seong-hyeon, vice-chairman of Halla Group and CEO of HL Mando, expressed thanks for SND's support at the launch ceremony and said that Halla Group will take this opportunity to reinforce its leading advantages in auto industry and inject more vitality into the district's high-quality development.

As one of the top 100 auto parts manufacturers in the world, Halla Group has set up three subsidiaries in SND, that is, HL Mando, Halla Meister, and HL Klemove, since it started building a presence here 20 years ago.

SND has in recent years continued improving its auto industrial chain by bringing in 120 leading enterprises and building relevant institutes.

As a hotspot for innovators and entrepreneurs, SND is currently home to nearly 2,000 foreign-invested businesses, including 61 funded by Fortune Global 500 companies. Due to the pursuit of high-quality development, the district added 35 foreign-invested headquarters over the past three years, bringing the total number to 80.
