Suzhou New District is located on the west of the picturesque Taihu lake, connects the Jiangsu provincial city of Nanjing in the north, has metropolis Shanghai on its east side, and has Hangzhou, capital of the neighboring Zhejiang province, to the south.
Residents from the district can take a high-speed train or a flight to Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou within an hour. It also takes only an hour's drive to get to other major cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from Suzhou New District. The convenient waterways of the Grand Canal and Yangtze River offer another option of transportation, which in together contributed to the district's distinctive geographical and market advantages.
