Suzhou Kelida Group decided to construct a green building design and production center in Tong'an, a town in Suzhou New District of Jiangsu province, at the Second Jiangsu Development Conference on May 21.
With an investment of roughly 450 million yuan ($65.14 million), the to-be-built center will also focus on timberwork design, product display and brand operation.
According to Kelida, the project aims to grow into an engineering application center, a scientific research center, as well as a technology research and development center of wood structure field in China.
In recent years, Tong'an town has attracted numerous businesses with its favorable natural environment, profound cultural history, and complete supporting facilities.
The town is ramping up efforts to introduce high-end industrial projects involved in new-generation information technology, high-end intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, new materials and new energy so as to become a gathering area of strategic emerging industries.
