The Harvard Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Training Center in China was put into service in Suzhou New District on May 18.
It's the first time that the Harvard Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, the largest one in the United States, has set up a training center in China.
The center is co-founded by the American hospital, the China-US Medical Development Foundation and Suzhou Science and Technology Town Hospital (SSTTH).
The SSTTH Physical Rehabilitation Medicine Center, the largest one of its kind among general hospitals in East China, also came into use on the same day.
Shen Jie, director of SSTTH, said that as one of the four major centers in SSTTH, the rehabilitation center will grow into the top one of its kind in China as soon as possible by cooperating with the Harvard Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Founded in 2016, the SSTTH is a third-grade general hospital boasting first-class facilities, a friendly environment and responsible doctors.
The hospital also houses three other centers: a cancer center, an infertility center, and a stomatology center, which were co-built with the Cancer Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, the Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University, one of China's top universities, and the Nanjing Medical University respectively.
