Tech startups seeking investment were able to display their strengths and potentials to investors at a roadshow in Suzhou, Jiangsu province recently.
Taking place at the Taihu Golden Valley Conference Center in the Suzhou High-tech Zone, the roadshow recommended a slew of hot projects covering baby products, online social insurance, environmental monitoring and auto parts, attracting more than 70 financial investors online and offline.
A stroller equipped with air purifying device produced by the Airecok Co, a local baby products maker, grabbed much attention on spot. It’s said to possess a PM2.5-filtering capacity three times stronger than the international standard. The company is looking for financing for marketing, recruiting of experts and products R&D.
It’s the 16th such roadshow organized by the Sunan (South Jiangsu) Fintech Roadshow Center since June 2016. The center was set up by the Finance Ministry, Shenzhen Securities Exchange and the Suzhou High-tech Zone, with the goal of facilitating financing for medium and small-sized tech companies.
So far, the platform has introduced 177 projects via roadshows, 34 of which have secured nearly 600 million yuan ($95.6 million) in total, said a source close to the situation.
