Suzhou is located near Taihu Lake, and teems with plums, apricots, loquats, waxberries, peaches and golden oranges. It provides rich raw materials for confection production. The confections were popular during the Three Kingdoms (AD 220-280).
In the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the confections were famous both at home and abroad. They are sweet, refreshing and suitable for all ages.
