31 projects begin construction in Tangjiawan in Year of the Rabbit
The Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) welcomed the first batch of major projects in the Year of the Rabbit on Jan 31, among them are projects that have been invested in by Shenzhen Sunray Power, Mingwei New Energy, and Fujie Biomedical Technology.
These 31 projects will have a total investment of 4 billion yuan ($593 million), and 13 of them have signed the contracts to settle in Tangjiawan at the Innovation and Development Building that day.
Four of the projects focus on biomedicine and medical devices, four on intelligent manufacturing, two on new energy and "smart" grids, two on digital economy, and one on artificial intelligence and robotics.

Upon operation, they will further boost the integration of upstream and downstream industries, promote the construction of major industrial clusters in Tangjiawan, and provide solid support for the Hi-Tech Zone's high-quality development.
In addition, the Hi-Tech Zone will provide the enterprises with 24/7 high-quality service and create an excellent environment in which they can develop.
Tangjiawan achieved a GDP growth of 4.5 percent in 2022, topping citywide rankings in terms of growth rate. Of note, its industrial investment was also the first in Zhuhai to have doubled last year.
A total of 42 projects will start construction in Tangjiawan within the first quarter of 2023, at a cost of 32.5 billion yuan (4.8 billion).
It was also announced that Tangjiawan will strive to be a highland for strategic emerging industries on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary. It will also continue to make contributions to the construction of the future urban center of Zhuhai.
