The factory will produce high-end radio frequency and flip chip ball grid array (FCBGA) package substrates. It will share the site with Access Headquarters Economic Base that will also settle in the Doumen-Qianwu park, said CEO Chen Xianming.
Construction commenced just 16 days after the land auction transaction was completed on Nov 23. Processes for contract signings and permits for land use and construction were completed two weeks earlier than is customary. The building site occupies 88,000 sqm (22 acres) south of 3rd Fushan Road and east of 2nd Chongnan Road.
Established 2006 in the Fushan park just north of Zhufeng Avenue as a Sino-Israeli joint venture, Access Semiconductor is the world leader in advanced organic coreless substrate technology and largest manufacturer of IC substrates and semiconductor devices and modules in China in terms of output volume.
Qu Xianghua of the Management Commission of Fushan Industrial Park said they will continue to offer high-quality and convenient services to ensure smooth construction of the project and accelerate Zhuhai's pace in forming a 100-billion-yuan ($16-billion) IC industrial cluster.
