Developer's three projects will spur Lianzhou tourism
The rural economy of Lianzhou Town in Doumen District will be invigorated by Zhuhai Langtao Culture & Tourism Development Co with ecological agriculture, cultural-creative, and headquarters projects.
An agreement of investment intent was signed between the town government and company on Aug 21. The three projects will cost 3.15 billion yuan ($445 million) over three phases and be completed by the end of 2022.
The purposed Yitian Zen Cloud Resort in Guangming Village will have zones for healthcare, artistic hotels, land art, and idyllic ecology. Idle farmhouses will be converted into characteristic B&Bs and restaurants operated by locals.

A 45-mu (7-acre) calligraphy and painting culture-creative industrial base will be built on the old site of Doumen Secondary School of Agriculture in Hengshantou. It will house the Beijing Rong Bao Zhai Academy of Calligraphy & Painting's Zhuhai branch, calligraphy and painting exhibition rooms and auction space, an intangible culture museum, and activity center for calligraphy culture exchanges.
The third project is in the Dasha-Yongli Pilot Comprehensive Demonstration Zone. It calls for a headquarters base and hotels, while integrating other commercial functions.
These developments will integrate idle land resources, increase rural tourism, and boost the incomes of farmers and collectives, said Zhou Chizai, director of the Guangming Villagers Committee.
