The Guangsheng Village satellite campus of the Zhuhai Women's & Children's Hospital was topped off on Dec 8 and much of next year will be spent furnishing, installing medical equipment, and hooking up utilities. Handover for operation is estimated at the end of next year.

The new facility in Nanping Town has floor space of 124,700 sq m (31 acres), of which 88,000 sq m (22 acres) is above ground and 36,700 sq m (9 acres) below. Available will be 800 beds and 950 parking spaces. It will provide both outpatient and emergency services with pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, and high-end obstetrics wards.

The new campus will provide medical treatment for women and children. The current facility was founded in 1954 at 543 Ningxi Road, Old Xiangzhou. By 2016, the Class-A hospital reportedly handled 1 million outpatient visits and 8,000 childbirths annually. It will continue to be committed to their healthcare.
