Qi'ao Island
Another of the top 10, Qi’ao Island is located at the inner west side of the Pearl River Estuary covering 15.92 sq km. It is connected to Tangjiawan by the Qi’ao Bridge. In the north of the island is Mangrove Wetland Ecological Park.

Historical sites include the remnants of sand dunes dating 4,000 years ago, the Ancestral Temple of the Song dynasty (AD 420-479), Wenchang Palace of the Qing dynasty (1644-1911), the site of resistance to British aggression in 1833, and Former Residence of Su Zhaozheng, an early leader of the Communist Party of China and labor movement activist.
