Overnight trains will leave Zhuhai, one to Shanghai and then another to Beijing, on May 1, a Tuesday temporarily added to the schedule due to the three-day holiday beginning April 29.
China Railway Guangzhou Group adjusted the schedule in anticipation of heavy travel demand. Two Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRTs are suspended to allow for the change.
The bullet trains with sleeping berths will run May 1-2 between Zhuhai, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Beijing West railway stations. Standardly, trains from Zhuhai to Beijing and Shanghai Hongqiao are available only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
