Dan’gan Island

Dan’gan Island is the largest in the Dan’gan Archipelago, and has a long narrow shoreline and steep mountains covering 13.2 sq km. The island, which is also one of the top ten, hosts the Guangdong Macaque Nature Reserve of 2,270 hectares, where over 1,300 wild macaques share life with a multitude of rare animal and plant species. Other scenic spots are the No 1 Pavilion in the south and Mabei Bay.

Transport: Bus 11 or 56 to Xiangzhou Port; ferries depart at 9:50 am on Monday and Wednesday.
