YNU also received the Outstanding Organization Award, while Li Haiyan, a professor at YNU who guided contestants, was honored with an Advanced Individual Award.
For this year's contest, 210 YNU teams submitted papers, setting a new participation record, and demonstrating the students' solid mathematical foundations and strong ability to apply mathematical methods to solve real-world problems.
YNU attached great importance to contest organization and preparation, providing dedicated funding, organizing registration and training guidance, and offering courses in mathematical modeling before the competition.
Problem setters, judging experts, and experienced instructors were invited by YNU to deliver targeted lectures and seminars for contestants, focusing on competition rules, modeling techniques, and academic writing.
Yunnan University will continue to strengthen support for graduate innovation practices and further cultivate high-level talent.
