A delegation from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), led by Xi Guang, vice president of XJTU, visited the ACCA London headquarters and Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, and participated in the Council of the Confucius Institute at the University of Liverpool and visited University College London, Queen Mary University of London, and the University of Manchester from Nov 28 to Dec 1.

The purpose of the visit was to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation with British universities and educational institutions.

On the morning of Nov 29, the delegation visited the ACCA headquarters in London, United Kingdom. Xi Guang and the delegation held talks with Alan Hatfield, the executive director of professional qualifications quality and innovation, and Ann Lam, the director of professional qualifications.

Alan Hatfield expressed his excitement at meeting with XJTU again in London within such a short period. He showcased the ACCA headquarters' facilities and introduced ACCA's professional qualifications and upcoming changes in learning and assessment. The discussions also covered challenges posed by digital technology, sustainable development, artificial intelligence, and other topics. He said he looked forward to continued close collaboration with XJTU in the future.

On the next day, the delegation visited Lancaster University, and met with Professor Steve Bradley, the university's deputy vice-chancellor. The two universities signed a friendly cooperation agreement in October. The visit further deepened the multidisciplinary, multi-level and multi-field talent training cooperation between the two parties.

During the following visit, Xi Guang and Professor Gavin Brown, pro-vice-chancellor of the University of Liverpool, jointly unveiled the Chinese language test center of the Confucius Institute at the University of Liverpool.
