A delegation from French Groupe des Ecoles Centrales visited Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) on Nov 7. Wang Shuguo, president of XJTU, met with the delegation and participated in discussions focusing on deepening cooperation, enhancing collaboration in relevant academic disciplines and jointly conducting scientific research.

The delegation comprised presidents and directors of member schools of the Groupe des Ecoles Centrales, including Ecole Centrale de Lille, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Ecole Centrale de Paris, Ecole Centrale de Marseille, and Ecole Centrale de Lyon.

Wang warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and praised the deep friendship between China and France and the solid foundation for cooperation between XJTU and the Groupe des Ecoles Centrales. He looked forward to more frequent exchanges and visits between the two sides in the future.

He also expressed a desire for broader and deeper cooperation in various disciplines, aiming to cultivate more talent and contribute jointly to global development.

Jean-Baptiste Avrillier, president of Ecole Centrale de Nantes, said he wants to expand project formats, encouraging the two-way flow of students between China and France. He also expressed a desire for strengthened research collaboration in existing partnerships.

Thomas Maurer, president of Ecole Centrale de Lille, said he hopes that more students will participate in projects in the future.
