A Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s delegation led by Rong Mingzhe, executive deputy secretary of the CPC XJTU Committee, recently visited the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) and Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia with the aim of deepening and expanding educational exchanges and practical cooperation between XJTU and Russia.

During the visit to MPEI, the delegation held meetings and discussions with Professor Nikolay D. Rogalev, rector of MPEI, as well as representatives and leaders from various departments.

The two parties reached a series of consensuses on innovative collaboration, including expanding Russian language teaching in the field of engineering, joint training of undergraduate and graduate students in electrical energy, and fostering exchanges between professors and scholars.

During the visit to Lomonosov Moscow State University, both sides introduced their respective institutions and were engaged in in-depth discussions on collaborative talent development, with a special focus on Russian language teaching and research cooperation. A cooperation memorandum was signed during the visit, officially establishing a partnership between the two institutions.

The delegation also paid a visit to the education department of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, held a recruitment and promotion seminar, and focused on the introduction and cultivation of outstanding young talent.

More than 30 outstanding young scholars from Moscow participated in the recruitment fair. Several scholars took the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the development and talent policies of XJTU. They expressed their interest in working at the university and submitted their resumes.
