On June 5, Lu Jianjun, secretary of the CPC Xi'an Jiaotong University Committee, presided over a special promotional meeting to implement the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit. The meeting focused on fully implementing the achievements related to Shaanxi province and the university, supporting the high-quality development of the regional economy, deepening the connotation construction of the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR), and advancing industry-education integration and international exchange cooperation.

Lu emphasized the need to launch a new round of globalization strategies and leverage the innovative engine of the iHarbour. With the establishment of the UASR as a focal point, efforts should be made to strengthen high-level international cooperation and exchange, contributing to the construction of the China-Central Asia community with a shared future.

Firstly, it is important to use the UASR as a platform to create a new engine of integration. This involves closely aligning with national strategies, aggregating overseas innovative resources, connecting with the needs of industries along the Silk Road, attracting the capital, fostering an innovation ecosystem, and cultivating talents for innovation.

Secondly, it is necessary to look beyond the UASR and strengthen both degree and non-degree programs. By introducing high-quality overseas resources from industry and enterprises and through deep integration of industry and education, collaborative efforts can be made to advance educational and technological cooperation along the Silk Road. This includes the transfer and commercialization of scientific achievements, integration into the "dual-circulation" development pattern, and participation in the international and domestic economics.

Thirdly, it is crucial to form a unified strategy and establish a global perspective, mobilizing all available resources. This involves establishing dedicated task forces to coordinate planning, implement specialized initiatives, and ensure prompt execution. By accelerating these efforts, it can foster a new pattern of open education with the distinctive characteristics and intellectual wisdom of Xi'an Jiaotong University.

During the meeting, the participants conducted in-depth discussions and put forward ideas and measures regarding industry-education integration, the construction of base platforms and overseas innovation centers, overseas talent cultivation, technology transfer, and cultural exchange cooperation.
