Vice-President Giuliano Noci of Politecnico di Milano visits XJTU

On May 31, Vice-President Giuliano Noci of Politecnico di Milano paid a visit to Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). President Wang Shuguo of XJTU, accompanied by Vice-President Xi Guang and other school leaders, warmly welcomed Noci and his delegation. During the meeting, the two parties engaged in discussions regarding the enhancement of collaboration between the universities and the consolidation of joint scientific research efforts in relevant fields.

Wang extended a heartfelt welcome to the delegation, acknowledging the status of Politecnico di Milano as a world-class university renowned for its cutting-edge disciplines. Highlighting the longstanding cooperative relations between the two universities, Wang emphasized the significant achievements of the XJTU-POLIMI Joint School of Design and Innovation, which has spearheaded innovative approaches in training professionals in the fields of design and architecture. With XJTU currently in a phase of high-quality development, Wang expressed his hope for broader and deeper collaborations across various disciplines in the future. He also looked forward to welcoming more teams of Italian professors and enterprises to China for cooperative ventures.

Noci recognized XJTU as a crucial partner of Politecnico di Milano, emphasizing that the longstanding cooperation and exchanges between the universities have fostered mutual understanding and friendship. Expressing his delight in witnessing the successful progress of the XJTU-POLIMI Joint School of Design and Innovation, Noci expressed his anticipation for future teaching and scientific research collaborations, with more professors from Politecnico di Milano planning to visit XJTU. He further highlighted Politecnico di Milano's endeavor to establish a new campus that promotes closer collaboration between academia and industry, aiming for seamless integration and cooperation between university researchers and enterprises.
