Chen Zhangwei, an alumnus of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was recently included in the World's Top 2% of Scientists list, according to Stanford University.

The list is a database of top-cited scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, and citations to papers in different authorship positions.

Chen, now a professor of Shenzhen University, obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees at XJTU. He has been deeply involved in the research of 3D printing based on ceramic materials for 15 years, and has applied for and authorized more than 20 national invention patents in the fields of additive manufacturing and ceramics.

The experts on the list were selected from nearly 7 million scientists in 22 fields and 176 subfields after comprehensive evaluation of scientists' research status and long-term scientific research performance. Being included in the list means that the scholar has high global influence in his research field.
