The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) recently established the first hereditary tumor MDT in Northwest China, which involves genetic counseling, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, a galactophore department, a digestive department, an oncology department, a pathology department and a laboratory. The hereditary tumor MDT was initiated by Professor Yang Xiaofeng, deputy director of the department of obstetrics and gynecology, Professor Yang Jin, deputy director of the department of oncology and Professor Ren Yu, deputy director of the galactophore department.

The team of the hereditary tumor MDT is guided by the national precision medicine policy. It carries out screening, treatment and consultation for genetically related tumors and provides more effective and precise management for patients while advancing research and precise treatment.
