A joint laboratory of cyber-physical interaction & intelligent energy systems, built by the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Shaanxi Guozhong Huitong Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd., has been launched and operated smoothly for half a year.

The joint laboratory, located in the Western China Science &Technology Innovation Harbour (iHarbour), is a globally advanced experiment platform for hydrogen-water exchange with zero carbon emission. It covers an area of 1,200 square meters and is equipped with an advanced distributed energy demand and supply system for hydrogen-water exchange.

The joint laboratory is capable of measuring the demand-side environment in five typical scenarios including offices, shopping malls and auditoriums and has achieved an integrated design of information perception, communication, computation and optimization in relation to a distributed energy system.

The joint laboratory is designed to be an experiment platform for new structure cyber-physical interactive energy systems, integrated storage of hydrogen-cold-heat multiple energy mediums, new-generation intelligent architecture with information empowerment, and intelligent industrial parks, and will provide guidance to research in fundamental theories and key technologies in relevant fields, facilitate integration and development of control science and engineering, electrical engineering, energy and power engineering, and cyberspace security, and provide theoretical and technological support   for energy revolution in the new era. It is expected to transform the demand-supply structure of future energy, and accelerate the realization of national goals of carbon emission.

Guozhong Huitong Intelligence Technology is a corporation established by a XJTU scientific team headed by Guan Xiaohong, academician with the Chinese Academy of Sciences at Xixian New Area Tongfang Silk Road Future Innovation Academy in June 2020.
